I'm a big fan of High Sierra laptop backpacks. They tend to be roomy and built with high quality materials and stitching. My previous bag gave me ten years of serious use and was still going strong when it was stolen from my car...grrrr. This bag is a pretty good replacement that I researched a lot before I went with. It's a bit lighterweight, which I think will appeal to more people (my last was heavier weight, more military looking). The one area where this bag failed me personally was in the splitting of the center pocket. This turned a nice roomy area into two not-so usable areas. I used to throw my dopp kit in the bottom of my bag, but it couldn't fit lying down anymore which made packing much harder. So the first thing I did was slice up that center fabric to open up the space. If they had made that center flap zippable, it would have improved the backpack a lot for me. However, it's a high quality bag with sturdy zippers and stitching, plus it has neat perks. The rain cover has come in handy protecting my laptop from a heavy downpour. I've always been puzzled by who uses the MP3 player pocket (my player is generally kept closer to my body), but it has one. The back rest is very comfortable and it has decent front suspension straps. And most importantly, it seems to protect my MacBook Pro well. It's a suspension design which means the laptop is slightly raised above the bottom of the bag so when you drop the bag it gives a little extra protection. The laptop fits snugly but I don't have to force anything to get it in. I personally would have preferred a separate pocket for the computer, but I haven't had any real issues with it being integrated into the main area. All in all, a solid bag and one I'm looking forward to building another ten year relationship with.

So I originally bought this bag to carry my large lap top, camera, eternal hard drive and what ever else I needed to haul back and forth from work home. It has been absolutely great for that, no complaints at all. have plenty of room of many other things as well such as sandals and a sweater. The weight is distributed nicely and has been a very sturdy. Reciently I was invited to go on a 2 day hike throught the jungle (I live in costa rica) and the only back pack I had was this one. I thought it might be two small at first but I was able to pack very comfortably: 1 fleece balket 1 mosquito net 1 large first aid kit 1 pair of sport sandels 1 poncho 1 change of clothes extra socks and underwear enough food for 2 days small bag with toiletries a flash light and 1 sweater I walked for 8 hour the first day and my shoulders were not hurting at all, the weight was very well distributed and the shoulder straps were very comfortable. The only thing was one part of the sternum straps fell off and was lost, but that I believe was because i snagged it on something and did not notice. every one on this trip admired my bag and said it was the perfect size. In the end I was almost disappointed it did not rain, because I really wanted to whip out the awesome rain protection this bag has which I have to say was the feature that won me over when I bought the bag.

This backpack is great. I am happy with my purchase. There are lots of compartments in the backpack and I am using for a full college load of books. I like the rain coat in the bottom and that's what sold me on purchasing this. And the compartment for laptop is nice. I was expecting a little more padding between the laptop compartment and the large compartment for books. I wish the straps were a little more padded since I am filling it with lots of weight, it is uncomfortable after carrying it for long distances. Don't get me wrong, they are padded straps, and my boyfriend likes it, I just wish they had a little more padding. The color I got was a cross between pink/purple and in the picture it looked more purple. But I am satisfied with the backpack- it gets my books to and from school and has room for much more!

They delivered on time, and the item was exactly what I wanted. The price was right also. What more would you want?

I Ordered this item and found that there is no side zipper pocket. The photo is misleading.

The product is described in the following manner- " Best of all, the bag comes with both backpack straps and a carrying handle, giving you several carrying options in a pinch." The item has only one strap and should not be compared to a backpack having two. It does have a carrying handle.

This made it so easy to carry around the snorkel equipment. It fits my water bottle, fins, mask, snorkel, and snorkel skin easily. The mesh at the top and bottom of the bag allows for drainage and air flow. I also have a fish ID card that I clipped to the bag so we could quickly identify the beautiful tropical fish we saw as soon as we got back on board the boat.

Worked great on a recent snorkeling trip - plenty of room for gear & a small towel. A waterproof pocket would be nice, as would a second shoulder strap, but for the money you can't beat it!

Bag perfectly fits fins, mask, snorkel, tubes and water shoes with room left over for small items. Just what I was looking for.

We got one of these for each of our US Divers snorkeling gear. We went to Puerto Rico & Culebra, using these bags daily. The bags held up perfectly: its nice to have a light weight bag that holds your gear, and has room for sun screen, rash guard, etc. easily cleans off in the shower, keeps your gear safe. We snorkeled extensivly, this bag is going on our next trip!

Good quality bag with lots of space. Love the shoe or wet compartment on one end and Ball net on the other end. Shoulder strap is comfortable and can be extended to be very long. I recently used it on a weekend trip and used the mesh net for odd ball toiletries that i didn't want leaking on my clothes. And fit enough clothes for my wife and I for the whole weekend. Great product.

I'm in the process of moving out of my dorm room right now and i was able to fit almost all the contents of my dresser into my bag. The only thing I had to leave out were my shoes!

Bag is made of good quality material.Only thing i didn't like was the mesh for holding basket ball was a bit small .

nice sturdy bag but beware it does not come with dry pocket. just a bag with no pockets.

The Bag is very roomy, but there is no inside dry pocket, bring a hefty bag if you don't want your wallet or phone to get wet. So disappointed that there is not a dry pocket on this bag because that would put it over the the top.

Very simple bad but does the job. I fit my BCD, reg, lamps other smaller items which is just want I needed. Not big enough to stuff in fins and larger wetsuit as well, but I keep that separate in my snorkeling bag anyway.

Bag is a bit different than what was/is shown. Still liked it very much. Possibly other customers will not be so happy with the difference...

In preparation for a cruise stop in Aruba, I purchased this bag to carry the snorkel gear I'd purchased for the two of us. This would be our first attempt at snorkeling but in the interest of sanitation I didn't want to use rented gear. The bag is very well made. It's sturdy and strong and had plenty of room for two masks, snorkels and two sets of fins with room to spare for towels etc. In addition to the handles, it has a shoulder strap that made it easy and comfortable to haul our gear around. The mesh sections allow any water to drain out and for air to flow through to dry things off. The bag looks nice too, so even if you have no idea what you're doing once you get in the water, you'll at least look like a pro on land when you're toting your gear around with this bag. I am very pleased with the performance of this bag and am sure in time I can add durability to it's list of attributes.
