A diving watch is a watch designed for underwater diving that features, as a minimum, a water resistance greater than 10 ATM, the equivalent of 100 meters (330 ft). The typical diver's watch will have a water resistance of around 200 - 300 meters (660 - 990 feet), though modern technology allows the creation of diving watches that can go much deeper. A true diver's watch is in accordance with ISO 6425, which defines test standards and features for watches suitable for diving with underwater breathing apparatus in depths of 100 m or more. Watches conforming to ISO 6425 are marked with the word DIVER'S to distinguish diving watches from look a like watches that are not suitable for actual scuba diving.

Tommy Bahama Relax Men's RLX1002 Relax Diver Watch Tommy Bahama Relax Men's RLX1002 Relax Diver Watch

I was looking for something that I wouldn't have to "worry" about beating up over the summer. This watch fits the bill nicely. Full disclosure - I love everything Tommy Bahama (clothes, cologne, etc), so I figured I'd give this reasonably priced watch a try. I've worn it in the Atlantic - in various pools - in the shower - on the golf course, etc. No problems at all. Keeps great time, the dial illuminates at night and while a bit large and somewhat "clunky", my wife thinks it looks good and it is not an uncomfortable watch to wear. I'd recommend it to someone who's not looking to spend a whole lot of cash for a very functional summer watch. I'll switch back to my Movado in the fall, but for summer, this one is working out great for me. For the price (

I purchased this watch on impulse. I actually got it on ebay for $39.00, new. but I don't think that deal is out there anymore. But the watch was even better than I expected. It fits nicely on the wrist. It's easy to tell time, glows well in the dark. Date is nice and big. Just a handsome watch and would def. buy again! Keeps perfect time by the way.

This watch is even nicer in person than on the pic. Bought it as a gift to hubby. He wanted a watch that could go in water but could also be worn to work, this is perfect.

went to hawaii put it to salt water /fresh/ pool no problems such a deal!

I bought the watch for my boyfriend, who had been looking at similar watches while we were on vacation. Although he found several with the functionality he was looking for, he didn't like any of the bands because the strap material looked cheap, even though the watches were much more expensive. He loves this one! The price was great and the product is excellent.

An exemplary thoroughbred of athletic high fashion and performance, this men's diving watch is certain to turn heads on the boat. A 28.5-millimeter polyurethane band keeps the watch securely on your wrist in both wet and dry environments, while a stylish and durable resin bezel protects the crystal from bumps and scratches...

Orient Men's 2ER00002D Automatic Diver Stainless Steel Watch Orient Men's 2ER00002D Automatic Diver Stainless Steel Watch

First of all, the photo is misleading because it appears that the rotating bezel is black with a blue dial. Actually, both are matching blue. This watch is quite handsome and very well finished. It is heavy and solid. But the real surprise is that it is very accurate. I have kept track of the time twice a day with an atomic clock for the two weeks since I got it. It has consistently lost 4 seconds a day and slightly less than 30 seconds a week. It keeps better time than my Rolex Datejust ever did, even after having just gone through complete factory service. You can buy four of these for what that service costs. My only complaint is that the luminous parts of the dial are not easily visable at night unless you hold the face up to a light bulb for a few seconds before going to bed. There were no instructions on how to remove links from the bracelet. Finally, I found a video explaination. You just tap out the little cotter pins with a push pin in the direction of the little arrows. It was probably too simple to bother with an explaination. Apparently, many watches are the same. One month update: I have worn the watch constantly for a month. It is in the process of breaking-in. I am told it takes a month or so. So far, it loses a few seconds each day, the most being -9 seconds, the least -4 seconds, the average is about -7.5. In about a month I will take it to a local watchmaker and have it adjusted so that it averages to zero. My reccomendation is to buy one before they are all gone.

For the money you cannot go wrong. This is a solid watch that holds up well to hard wear. Mine runs a little fast; my sons is spot on with time. Nice gift box.

I am not a watch collector but purchased the watch for daily use. I am in the health care professions and frequent hand washing is required. The watch is beautiful, keeps great time, stands up to wear and tear very well (I have owned it for three months). The price point is fantastic. If I lose the watch in that I have to remove it frequently I will feel saddened but not deflated and would buy another. I held this watch next to a colleague's similar Rolex and it was difficult to tell the difference. I am pleased with this purchase. Update 3 years later. Still thoroughly enjoy the watch. It looks like new and keeps excellent time. I remain enthusiastic and positive about this purchase.

The Orient 2ER00002D is a great watch bargain. While Orient is not widely known in the United States, the Japanese watchmaker is half-owned by Seiko. This watch looks and feels almost exactly like a Rolex Submariner (at about 1/20th of the price). This is a great-looking well-made watch, and the picture really does not do it justice. So far it's keeping great time, which can be a problem even with far more expensive self-winding watches. My only quibble has to do with the luminescence (or lack thereof) which seems to last for just a few minutes at a time, but given everything else, that seems a relatively minor complaint. If you're looking for a high-quality, inexpensive Rolex-style dive watch, travel to the Orient!

I've had mine for 11 months and love the look, love the weight, love the compliments. Unfortunately, something seemed to have happened after I dropped it on thinner carpet the other day, although it seemed fine for a couple of days after. The oscillator inside has been stopping intermittently, even when I let it sit overnight in my watch winder. I'm not sure if I'll buy another one, not because I'm really disappointed in Orient's quality, but because I'll get a quartz replacement. Out of the box, mine lost only 8-10 seconds a day. That's quite accurate for a watch in this price range. (Strictly speaking, an "accurate" watch gains or loses the same amount of time every day. It's not necessarily how much time it gains or loses compared to a baseline timepiece.) I was able to adjust it gaining only a few seconds a day, so I'd have to set it back one minute only every couple of weeks. The band is a little prone to scratching, but unless you want to spend thousands of dollars instead of under $150, you won't get super-hard stainless steel. The band can be buffed out easily, anyway. Someone's review of the black Orient diver (same watch, different dial color) said that the inside of the band is a little sharp. The same is true of this blue-faced model. In fact, I sanded down the inside edges of mine, which made it feel much better.

purchased this watch it is a neat watch .. could have been a little bigger but its fine .. i like the color...and the date on the face..

I purchased this watch on Amazon from a company called [...]. While I was on vacation, less than two weeks after the watch arrived, the battery died. Since I needed a working watch on this trip, I took it to a jeweler to have the battery replaced. On my first use of the watch in a pool, I quickly discovered that it was not water resistant, despite its claim to be resistant to 100 meters. After returning home to look up the paperwork for returning this defective watch, I read at the bottom of the receipt that [...] claims, "All exchanges or refunds must be postmarked within 14 days of arrival date." This is clearly a wise policy on their part since they must recognize that they are selling defective products. As for the FREESTYLE company itself, the warranty paperwork claims that only a FREESTYLE service center can replace the battery! Come on, folks! This isn't a Rolex! I guess I can consider this a disposable watch since it no longer works. BE WARNED: Don't buy a watch from this company or any product from [...]!

I bought this watch a few days ago and I think that it is the best watch that I have owned so far, it is much cheaper than the name brand diving watches and it works just as well! the first day I bought it I went swimming and I accidently ended up smacking it on the bottom of the pool, I was worried that I cracked it or scraped the face because thats where I hit it, but not a scratch on the face. The only visible damage was a tiny scratch on the outside dial! which is hardly even visible! Love this watch, 5 stars!!

That's it. It doesn't have the features of the Mens Shark X, which are the things I actually need for diving.

Purchased this watch approximately 2 weeks ago for a dive trip I took to Grand Caymen and Cozumel. Very pleased with the purchase and prompt delivery, until I took my 1st 90ft dive and discovered that water had seeped in and the watch no longer worked.
